  Arka Foundation, India - Objectives
 
  • To serve and promote the cause of Education, Science, Literature, Music, Folk and fine Arts in all their forms and facets for promoting literacy, imparting knowledge.

  • Promoting personal development and stature as well as cultural development.

  • Bringing unison in existing diversities for better human cooperation and harmony of living.  With regard to these objectives, to set-up, promote and sponsor institutions either alone or in association with other organisations nationally or internationally.

  • Promoting personal development and stature as well as cultural development.

    • ancient literature, culture, Vedas, Vedangas and Sashtras.
    • teaching and/or treating with curative, ameliorating, preventative methods.
    • adopting allopathic, Ayurvedic, Unani or other therapeutic systems including Acupressure, Acupuncture, Herbal treatments, Naturopathy and other alternative systems.

  • Providing on the job and/or other training and workshops for the needy and providing remuneration to such trainees and workers.

  • To bring international standards to the educational set-up whether in- house or distant learning.

  • To create sports complexes, stadiums – indoor or outdoor, playgrounds, golf courses, swimming pools to train students in all facets of their personality and physical development.

  • To promote the poor and needy whether in medical, educational, poor relief or other means of general public utility.

  • To perform all activities of the trust either alone or in collaboration with other organisations and for that purpose to acquire and own land, buildings and/or infrastructure facilities. To hire such facilities as may be required and/or turn the same into account to yield any revenues in the interest of trust activities.

  • To employ exponents, preachers, teachers, disseminators and other staff members for achieving the objects of the trust.

  • To disseminate the learning or support available in all its facets under this Trust by way of newsletters, magazines, articles, books, audio, visual or multi media as may be found fit in varied circumstances.

  • To engage in such activities as are incidental and conducive to the attainment of any of the above objectives or any of them without any kind of discrimination.

    • To inspire and encourage all to experience spiritual freedom and to realise how uniquely special and resourceful everyone is.
    • To remind people how important it is to keep in touch with the inner self as well as the outside world and to realise that materialism is not separate from spirituality but is integral to it.
    • To teach people how to practise Arka Dhyana to achieve peace of mind and increase the faculties of their mind.
    • To educate people about how effective meditation actually is in maintaining mental well-being and in supporting the healing or at least the managing of physical pain and discomfort.
    • To encourage and inspire those who are affected by a feeling of depression towards a more positive attitude and enthusiasm about life, its purpose and meaningfulness.
    • To bring awareness of how science and spirituality complement each other and have a greater role to play in our lives for more clarity, health, harmony and expanded states of consciousness.
    • To study and understand more of the underlying common humanity amongst the various cultures which thereby enhances the level of communication and harmony for living together with mutual respect.
