|
Project details The medical camp was held on Sunday, 21st February 2010 at Govt. Higher Primary school, Alanahalli. This one day camp arranged specially for the underprivileged had about 300 people registering, most of them being women and senior citizens. This enormous response was due to a slew of publicity methods that Arka Foundation undertook to spread awareness. This medical camp is just one of Arka Foundation’s many initiatives at enriching the lives of the needy. For over five years this humanitarian organisation has been quietly going about making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, sick and destitute, through a wide spectrum of activities such as, providing drinking water to schools, books and desks to students at village schools, visiting villages, helping the uneducated acquire skills and become resourcefull, with plans to do much more in the near future. Village members, doctors and Arka Foundation volunteers inaugurated the medical camp with the traditional Lighting of the Lamp. Location Govt. Higher Primary School, Alanahalli, H.D.Kote Taluk, Mysore, Karnataka, India |
